Seven Richards Layton Directors Named in 2011 International Who’s Who of Corporate Governance Lawyers

WILMINGTON, Delaware (March 23, 2011) – Seven Richards, Layton & Finger directors, more than from any other Delaware law firm, have been named in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Governance Lawyers 2011. R. Franklin Balotti, C. Stephen Bigler, Donald A. Bussard, Mark J. Gentile, Samuel A. Nolen, Gregory V. Varallo and Gregory P. Williams have been selected as being among the world’s foremost corporate governance lawyers.

Lawyers are chosen based upon comprehensive, independent research with general counsel and private practice lawyers worldwide. Only specialists who have met independent international research criteria appear on Who’s Who Legal’s definitive lists of the world’s leading business law attorneys. Bigler, president of Richards Layton, counsels corporations, officers, directors, board committees, stockholders and investors on matters involving Delaware’s General Corporation Law and related issues of fiduciary duty arising in a wide variety of transactional and operational contexts. Bussard, senior member of the firm’s corporate transactional group, advises corporations and boards of directors in connection with mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, stockholder issues and corporate governance. Gentile advises corporations, officers, directors, board committees and stockholders regarding mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations and corporate governance issues.
