Doneene Damon Appointed to Board of the Delaware Prosperity Partnership

WILMINGTON, Delaware (September 22, 2017) – Doneene K. Damon, executive vice president of Richards, Layton & Finger, has been appointed by Governor John Carney to the board of the Delaware Prosperity Partnership. This new public-private partnership was established to lead the state’s economic development efforts and position Delaware to promote innovation, build a talented workforce, and create good-paying jobs. Ms. Damon and her fellow Delaware Prosperity Partnership board members are leaders from across the state, representing a cross-section of the Delaware economy.

Ms. Damon focuses her legal practice on the formation and use of Delaware statutory and common law trusts in all types of commercial and business transactions. In addition to her key roles within Richards Layton, Ms. Damon has held numerous leadership positions in the American Bar Association, the Delaware State Bar Association, and other legal organizations, and serves on the boards of several community organizations. Ms. Damon is currently the chair of the board of directors of Christiana Care Health System.

Among Ms. Damon’s many awards are the National Association of Professional Women VIP Woman of the Year Circle, the American Bar Association’s Jean Allard Glass Cutter Award, the National Diversity Council Leadership Excellence in the Law Award, and the International Women’s Review Board for Excellence in Law. She is also regularly named in several distinguished legal directories.
