Chad M. Shandler represents clients in a variety of areas, including complex financial and commercial litigation, trusts and estates litigation, intellectual property litigation and insurance litigation. A director in the firm’s Litigation Department, Chad also counsels and handles litigation matters for various media organizations.
Chad has conducted hearings and trials in all of Delaware’s state and federal courts. He also has significant appellate experience before the Delaware Supreme Court and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Recently, Chad has litigated several high-profile trust disputes in the Delaware Court of Chancery. He has also counseled various trust companies on fiduciary and regulatory matters. In addition, Chad has an active ADR practice, with extensive experience arbitrating and mediating commercial disputes.
With clients that include major businesses with national and international operations, Chad is also frequently retained by national law firms to serve as Delaware counsel for cases pending in Delaware courts. In this capacity, he advises clients regarding the specialized practices and procedures employed by judges in each of Delaware’s various courts and provides counsel on matters involving Delaware law.
For the past several years, Chad has authored and co-authored several articles concerning media access and First Amendment issues in Delaware.
