Richard Bacon practices in the areas of tax law and trust and estate law. A director of the firm, he advises clients in issues involving estate and trust administration, estate planning and fiduciary litigation. Rich also handles matters relating to state and local taxation, including the escheat of abandoned property.

Representative Experience

  • Significant state and local tax litigation involving income, gross receipts, ad valorem and other taxation
  • Planning for minimization of escheat liability and resolution of state escheat claims in audit and post-audit situations
  • Representation of both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in dispute avoidance and resolution, including litigation of contests of wills and trusts, breaches of fiduciary duty, and construction and interpretation of instruments.
