Two Richards, Layton & Finger Directors Named in The International Who's Who of Real Estate Lawyers

WILMINGTON, Delaware – Two Richards, Layton & Finger directors, Daniel L. Klein and Robert J. Krapf, have been named in The International Who’s Who of Real Estate Lawyers 2009. Among only 470 selected lawyers, they are the only real estate lawyers in Delaware named to the list. Researchers at Who’s Who Legal gather information from lawyers and clients as well as the legal and financial media to create a definitive list of the world’s leading attorneys in 29 areas of business law. The International Who’s Who of Real Estate Lawyers 2009 will be published in June and will later form the real estate chapter in the 2010 edition of The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers.

Chair of Richards, Layton & Finger’s real estate group, Klein specializes in complex business transactions and public/private joint ventures. He is active in the Real Property Section of the Delaware State Bar Association and in the financing and leasing areas of the American Bar Association. Klein is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Anglo-American Real Property Institute and the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. Named in the Best Lawyers in America every year since its inception 25 years ago, Klein is also listed in Chambers USAAmerica’s Leading Lawyers for Business and Delaware Super Lawyers. He earned a JD from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton).

Krapf, a director in the firm’s real estate group, focuses his practice on a variety of transactional matters in the areas of real estate and land use law. Krapf is president-elect of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and chair emeritus of the Real Estate Group of Lex Mundi. He has also held numerous leadership positions in the American and Delaware State Bar Associations. Voted one of the “Best Lawyers in Delaware” in Delaware Today magazine, Krapf is also recognized in Chambers USA – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, the Best Lawyers in America and Delaware Super Lawyers. He holds a JD from the Delaware Law School of Widener University, an MA from the University of Delaware and a BSFS from Georgetown University.
