District of Delaware Swears in Third Magistrate Judge

On April 25, 2012 in a private ceremony, Sherry Ruggiero Fallon was sworn in as the third Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. Magistrate Judge Fallon is a 1983 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a 1986 graduate of the Delaware Law School of Widener University. She began her legal career as an associate with the Wilmington law firm of Tybout, Redfearn & Pell, and was named a partner of that firm in 1995. While in private practice, Magistrate Judge Fallon’s primary practice areas included insurance defense, toxic tort, product liability, construction litigation, bankruptcy litigation and defense of employment claims. She has litigated more than 25 civil cases to jury verdict. Magistrate Judge Fallon also has extensive experience in mediation and arbitration including prior service as an Arbitrator appointed by the Delaware Department of Insurance. The date of a public investiture for Magistrate Judge Fallon will be announced by the District Court. Magistrate Judge Fallon is now receiving case assignments including mediations and referrals for all pretrial purposes.
