Compensation And Benefits
Fact #6 Our starting salary for entry-level associates is $145,000 annually.
Fact #7 Your paycheck goes further at Richards, Layton & Finger because all of our health benefits are non-contributory. There is no individual requirement to fund, or partially fund, any of the health benefits’ plans, other than dental, offered at Richards, Layton & Finger. In addition, family members are covered as well, all on a non-contributory basis.
Fact #8 New entry-level associates are given a $5000 bar-study stipend, plus bar review course and bar exam application fees, prior to their start date.
Fact #9 Some of the wellness programs offered include cholesterol testing, flu shots and CPR training.

Associate Life

Summer Program
Fact #17 The size of the summer program is designed to fill the anticipated associate hiring needs for the following year.
Fact #18 In 2007, summer associates earn $2800 per week.
Fact #19 The summer program’s duration in 2008 will be 10 weeks; split summer situations are considered on a case-by-case basis, but students must be at Richards, Layton & Finger the first half of the summer.
Fact #20 Each summer associate is assigned both a director and an associate mentor who coordinate and contribute to the flow of work projects.
Fact #21 Summer associates rotate between two departments during the program.
Fact #22 Both formal and informal feedback is provided to all summer associates.
