Stacey Novinger Smith focuses primarily on rendering advice as to matters of Delaware law relating to Delaware general, limited and limited liability partnerships and limited liability companies. A transactional attorney, Stacey is a senior attorney in the firm's Limited Liability Company and Partnership Advisory Group.
Since joining the firm in 2001, Stacey has been involved in rendering advice and legal opinions in connection with a wide variety of transactions involving Delaware partnerships and limited liability companies, including investment fund transactions, joint venture transactions and structured finance transactions. Many of her matters involve rendering Delaware state law opinions with respect to bankruptcy remote transactions. Stacey's work also includes rendering advice with respect to mergers, conversions and other structural changes involving partnerships and limited liability companies, as well as analyzing fiduciary duty and contractual interpretation issues.
In law school, Stacey was a member of the Journal of Environmental Law & Policy.
