The ABA Business Law Section’s LLCs, Partnerships and Unincorporated Entities Committee held its the third annual LLC Institute on October 16-17 in Arlington, VA. The institute offered eight CLE panels on a wide range of topics.
Elisa Erlenbach Maas spoke on the “Indemnification and Advancement” panel, which discussed the differences between corporate and LLC statutes governing indemnification of advancement of litigation expenses, indemnification and advancement strategies, and drafting “gotchas” that can foil attempts to achieve the client’s indemnification and advancement goals.
