Richards Layton director Doneene K. Damon was recently featured in Delaware Today magazine as one of the state’s prominent “Women in Business.” To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be.” These professionals know how to inspire, when to empower, what to delegate, and who to nurture.

Though her personal practice is centered on business and commercial trusts, Doneene Keemer Damon has always wanted to increase the number of women and minorities with meaningful law practices in Delaware. As chair of the Diversity Committee at Richards Layton & Finger, Damon hopes to continue such efforts for the firm, where she has been director since 1999, and overall. A trustee for the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and a YWCA Trailblazer Award winner, she is well positioned to continue her success.
“I have been blessed in my career that my practice has grown with my clients over the years and that by providing great service and adding value, I have established wonderful working relationships that continue to grow,” Damon says. “I hope that this trend continues and that the next big thing on my horizon is still an unknown.”
