Lisa Schmidt Named Among Delaware’s Top Women in Business

Lisa Schmidt, a director at Richards, Layton & Finger and the immediate past president of the firm, has been honored as one of Delaware’s top Women in Business. Delaware Business Times, in partnership with Delaware Today, annually recognizes the accomplishments of extraordinary businesswomen who are leaders in their fields and an inspiration to those around them.
Lisa has over 30 years’ experience litigating complex corporate disputes in the Delaware courts, successfully representing Delaware corporations, their directors, and other constituencies and advising them on corporate governance and fiduciary duties.
In addition to her recognition for excellence in numerous national legal directories, Lisa has received the 2025 New Castle County Chamber of Commerce State Service Award and was also named among Delaware Business Times’ Delaware 222 and Delaware Today’s Top Lawyers. Lisa serves on the boards of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware and the Delaware Prosperity Partnership.
