WILMINGTON, Delaware (September 27, 2012) – Richards, Layton & Finger attorney Mark D. Collins has been selected as a recipient of the Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Award for his work on the successful restructuring of Aquilex Holdings LLC. Collins, the principal Richards Layton attorney involved in the matter, is one of several professionals being honored for the Aquilex restructuring. TMA recognizes the year’s most successful turnarounds and significant transactions through its annual Turnaround and Transaction Awards.
Collins, chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department, concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors’ rights, with particular experience representing debtors, institutional lenders, creditors’ committees and acquirers in national chapter 11 cases. He has served as lead counsel in numerous major chapter 11 cases and as co-counsel in many of the largest chapter 11 filings in the United States. A fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, Collins has been honored in Chambers USA, Lawdragon, the Deal, Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who Legal, and as Delaware’s No. 1 attorney in the 2012 edition of Super Lawyers.
