Richards, Layton & Finger Directors Named in The International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigators

WILMINGTON, Delaware (December 8, 2010) – Samuel A. Nolen and Gregory P. Williams, directors of Richards, Layton & Finger, have been named in The International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigators 2010. Researchers at Who’s Who Legal gather information from lawyers and clients as well as the legal media to create a definitive list of the world’s leading attorneys in 31 areas of business law.
Nolen advises individuals, boards and management on corporate governance, transactional and control dispute issues. He also represents clients in derivative and class actions, fiduciary responsibility actions and other complex cases, and has appeared in many of the leading cases addressing these issues in the Delaware courts. Nolen serves as a member of the Council of the Section of Corporation Law of the Delaware State Bar Association. He has also served as chair of Lex Mundi, the world’s leading association of independent law firms, and on arms of the Delaware Supreme Court.
Williams, chair of the Corporate Department and immediate past president of the firm, primarily represents corporations and their directors and officers. He provides advice and counseling to his clients and represents them in courts in Delaware and across the country. He also represents committees of boards of directors formed to negotiate transactions or investigate alleged corporate wrongdoing. Williams is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the appointed chair of the Delaware Court of Chancery Rules Committee.
