Richards Layton Lawyers Elected to DSBA Executive Committee

WILMINGTON, Delaware (July 31, 2012) – Richards, Layton & Finger directors Doneene Keemer Damon and Robert J. Krapf have been elected to the Executive Committee of the Delaware State Bar Association. Krapf, who has previously served in leadership positions on the Executive Committee, was elected the New Castle County Vice President; Damon will again serve as a Member-at-Large. They were elected for one-year terms beginning on July 1, 2012 at the DSBA’s annual Bench and Bar Conference, held on June 6, 2012. The Executive Committee, which has 25 members, is the top governing body of the DSBA.
Damon focuses primarily on formation and operational issues relating to Delaware statutory trusts in all types of commercial and business transactions, including securitizations, structured finance, investment funds, real estate financings, and trust preferred securities transactions. She represents banks and trust companies in connection with their trust and agency services in various commercial transactions, as well as health-care clients in commercial and transactional matters.
In addition to serving on the DSBA Executive Committee, Damon is a member of the Council for the American Bar Association Section of Business Law. She also serves on numerous committees and holds several leadership positions in the state and national bar. Damon is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, and she is recognized in Chambers USA.
Krapf is Richards Layton’s executive vice president. Focusing his practice on a variety of transactional matters in the areas of real estate and land use law, Krapf’s clients include many of the regional and national developers, landlords, banks, and other lenders, conservation organizations, institutions, businesses, and industries operating in Delaware.
Krapf has held leadership positions in many state and national bar committees. He is also a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, past president of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, and past chair of the Lex Mundi Real Estate Practice Group. Krapf’s professional accolades include Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, Lawdragon, Super Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal, and Delaware Today’s “Top Lawyers.”
