WILMINGTON, Delaware – Thirteen Richards, Layton & Finger directors have been named to Delaware Super Lawyers. Three of them—R. Franklin Balotti, Jesse A. Finkelstein and Gregory P. Williams—are ranked in the listing’s Top Ten, more than any other Delaware firm. Super Lawyers recognizes outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Balotti, Williams and Allen M. Terrell Jr. appear on Super Lawyers’ Business Litigation list, and Paul M. Altman, Donald A. Bussard and James G. Leyden Jr. are listed in the Business/Corporate category. Finkelstein, who was the state’s 3rd Top Point Getter, is named in Securities & Corporate Finance; Mark Gentile is listed in Mergers & Acquisitions; and W. Donald Sparks II is named in Estate Planning & Probate. Mark D. Collins and John H. Knight are listed in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights, and Daniel L. Klein and Robert J. Krapf appear on the Real Estate list.
To compile these lists of top attorneys, Law & Politics magazine performs independent research for Super Lawyers and conducts surveys of lawyers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This year, more than 800,000 lawyers nationwide were asked to nominate the best attorneys they’ve personally observed in action. Super Lawyers lists attorneys in each state who received the highest point totals; only five percent of a state’s lawyers are named. Super Lawyers strives to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of preeminent attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers who are searching for legal counsel.
