Richards, Layton & Finger Director Elected to the Council of the ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law

WILMINGTON, Delaware – Richards, Layton & Finger director Robert J. Krapf was elected to the Council of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association at the Section’s annual meeting, held on August 1, 2009. The Council is the governing body of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, which has over 30,000 members. Council members are elected by the Section membership and represent both the Real Property Division of the Section, which focuses on the legal aspects of property use, ownership, development, transfer, regulation, financing, taxation and disposal, and the Trust and Estate Division, which addresses trusts, estate planning, employee benefits, insurance, and probate and trust litigation.
Krapf, a member of the Council’s Real Property Division, focuses his practice on a variety of transactional matters in the areas of real estate and land use law. His clients include many of the regional and national developers, landlords, banks and other lenders, conservation organizations, institutions, businesses and industries operating in Delaware. In addition to serving on the Council, Krapf is active in a variety of bar committees and forums.
A frequent speaker on topics of real estate, land use and business law, Krapf has published educational materials and articles about real estate law and land use regulation. He is recognized in the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, Chambers USA – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America and Delaware Super Lawyers, and he was voted one of the “Best Lawyers in Delaware” in Delaware Today magazine.
