WILMINGTON, Delaware (July 1, 2014) – Richards, Layton & Finger is pleased to announce the election of Beth Gansen Knight as counsel of the firm, effective July 1, 2014.

Ms. Knight practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax planning and wealth preservation. She assists high net worth individuals in implementing sophisticated estate plans through the use of Delaware trusts, as well as through Delaware corporate and alternative entities. Ms. Knight also represents individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested and advisory matters relating to the administration of estates and trusts, the interpretation of personal planning instruments, and the application of fiduciary duties in the trusts and estates context.

Ms. Knight earned a B.A., summa cum laude with honors, from the University of Northern Iowa, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Golden Key Society. She received a J.D., with high honors, from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she served on the editorial board of the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems.
