Richards, Layton & Finger was named among the M&A Advisor Award winners in the Energy Deal of the Year (Over $100mm) category for the sale of Ruby Pipeline LLC to Tallgrass Energy Partners. We served as co-counsel to debtor Ruby Pipeline, which owned and facilitated the operation of a 683-mile-long natural gas pipeline between Wyoming and Oregon. The bankruptcy court approved the debtor’s chapter 11 plan that included a sale of the debtor’s assets to Tallgrass Energy LP for $282 million, ensuring that the unsecured notes were paid in full and all unsecured creditors were paid or satisfied in full.
