William A. Yemc’s practice focuses on a wide variety of commercial transactions and insurance regulatory matters. His commercial practice includes securitization, structured finance, joint venture, asset sale and purchase, financing and secured transactions. Bill’s insurance regulatory practice includes insurance company and agency formation, insurance holding company system registrations, change of control transactions (including mergers and acquisitions that involve domestic insurers), and approval of insurer investments. He also assists clients with the formation, structuring and operation of Delaware limited partnerships, general partnerships, limited liability companies and statutory trusts. Bill co-manages the firm’s Uniform Commercial Code and General Transactions Groups, as well as the Insurance Regulatory Group.
As a member of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Uniform Commercial Code Committee, Bill worked on the subcommittee that reviewed Delaware’s version of Revised Article 9 prior to its adoption. In addition, he has participated in drafting amendments to the Delaware Uniform Commercial Code that have benefited the securitization practice in Delaware.
Prior to entering law school, Bill was a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Pennsylvania.
